M41 Csörgő – 8bit MTB H0 Plux22

Project version 212.2.6

Sound sample

Project Information

  • Optimised for the MTB H0 model equipped with a Plux22 connector.
  • Designed for 8-bit ZIMO MX sound decoders.
  • Recommended minimum decoder software version is 40.22.
  • The factory default address is 3.
  • Program CV8 = 8 to reset the decoder to the project defaults.

Setting Maximum Speed

Use CV57 to adjust the maximum speed. CV5 would change the sound range, while CV57 leaves CV3/CV4 untouched.

Shunting Mode

All four marker lights switch on in shunting mode. Disable the feature with CV37 = 0 and re-enable it with CV37 = 3. The mode also turns off the red lights and headlight; override this by setting CV430 = 0 and back to CV430 = 3 when needed.

The mode halves the speed range and reduces acceleration/braking times to a quarter of the CV3/CV4 values. Disable it via CV124 = 16 or fully remove the timings with CV124 = 19. Default CV124 = 18.

A script triggers a short horn whenever the model starts in shunting mode if F3 and F8 are active and the speed is zero. CV837 = 8 disables it.

F5 Coasting vs F6 Engine to Maximum RPM

If both functions are active, coasting takes precedence.

Cabin Lighting

The driver’s cab light on F9 is script-controlled: it switches off when the model moves and turns back on after stopping. Disable it with CV837 = 8 if you prefer manual control.

For manual control without automatic switching, set CV43 = 96 together with CV837 = 8. Revert to the default by setting CV43 = 0 and CV837 = 0.

Compressor

The compressor offers two modes:

  1. Random activation when F8 is on (enabling F17 cancels it).
  2. Direct activation via F17 that requires F8 on and zero speed.

CV837 = 1 disables F17, CV837 = 2 disables the random mode, and CV837 = 3 disables both.

Curve Squeal

The effect needs F19 and F8 plus a speed between 14 and 100 (range 0–126). Set CV837 = 4 to disable it.

Custom Function Mapping

Remap functions via CV400 – CV428 if needed. The project itself does not rely on these CVs.

Decoder Reset

Program CV8 = 8 (or CV8 = 0) to restore the default settings.
